Meet Pizza Man

Nothing happens at Turtle Rescue League headquarters without the approval of our floor supervisor, Pizza Man. This handsome, energetic, strong, curious fellow runs the show 24/7.

As entertaining as Pizza Man is, he has a lot to teach us, too. One of his most important lessons is that substance abuse affects more than humans. Rescued from a drug house in the winter of 2018, Pizza Man got his name because his near-lethal respiratory infection gave him a unique odor… a smell comparable to what we imagine a boiled pizza might smell like…

Happy, healthy and stinking no more, Pizza Man enjoys patrolling the sanctuary grounds with his best friend Sprockets. Together, they provide just the right combination of comic relief and mischief to keep us forever on our toes, and thankful to have them in our lives.
