Sprockets the Burmese Mountain Tortoise

Meet Sprockets

To know him is to love him! The handsome gentle giant of Turtle Rescue League, Sprockets has stolen many a heart. Part court jester, part meditation guru, and everything in between, he is always fun to be around.

Sprockets was found abandoned on a college campus in 2014, which makes him a Turtle Rescue League O.G. When TRL arrived at the scene, he had already attracted many an admirer, but he was in dire need of help. And help is just what he got. Now Sprockets, at around 14 years old and 30 pounds is living it up as part of the family. 90 years from now, and about 70 pounds heavier, we expect Sprockets will still be working with TRL to keep turtles a part of the future and not a thing of the past.

Sprockets’ hobbies include, but are not limited to:
Parading around headquarters with his best buddy Pizza Man hot on his tail, moving chairs and furniture moments before we open the doors for an event, thoroughly complicating anything having to do with construction or assembly, and spontaneously dropping into a contagious, contemplative tortoise trance in inconvenient locations.

Sprockets and everyone at TRL would like to thank the following turtle heroes for their ongoing support!
